Hundred Simple Pleasures

This new Bits Box category came about because some posts won’t neatly fit into any other category.

The name Bits Box was coined to celebrate the drawer or box we all have, where we keep all those things we’re loathe to throw away because they might just come in useful one day…

Some Bits Box content may be vaguely boat-related, whilst others will tend to explore themes such as creativity, ecology, sustainability and technology.

Here’s the first Bits Box post:

This is something I do each year. The idea is to list experiences that give me pleasure but don’t necessarily require a huge amount of time or money to achieve.

Here’s the first ten of my new list.

One Hundred Simple Pleasures:

a walk…

looking around stalls for old enamelware…

handswrapped around a hot drink…

writing a diary…

lighting the stove…

stopping to stare out the window…

eating outdoors…

the right hat…

boats in general…

The Plough in the evening sky…
