Painting Log : 24.11.2017

nBitten by the Black Dog.

Things, all things, have slowed.

I do what I can, when I can. And, I wait for a better day.

Setting out the backdrop of the third Folk Songs painting based on Kandinsky’s ‘circles’…
Henry ‘helps’…
Ready to paint. The fact is the drawing is only really there to disrupt the surface sufficiently to give me the confidence to pick up the brush and paint… most of it, if not all of it, will be ignored once painting is under way.
With the masking tape removed this painting moves closer to being finished…
Preparatory work on smaller canvases that’ll be added to the first of the Folk Songs series – as there are three large painting currently on the go in the Folk Songs series, it’s becoming confusing to explain which painting I’m working on, perhaps early next week it’d be useful to photograph the three paintings side-by-side and finalise their titles?
