About the Field Notes Category

The Field Note category is a good place to start a delve into the Museum of Thin Objects.

If you want to understand the ideas that underpin The Undersong Project then this is the place to start. A look at the Field Notes on ‘finding my subject’ PART I-IV, for example, will tell you about my approach to art and art making.

The Field Notes category is also home to posts that explan a number of ideas that support The Undersong Project but aren’t directly related to art production. For example, explanations of a slow(er) approach to life and the related themes of savouring silence, seasonality and simplicity.

Field Note posts tend to take the form of mini-essays but often have the style of prose-poems ie. with short sections of information, personal statements, quotes and asides.
