And then like buses…

A few days ago I was surprised to unearth a new photo of Eileen from the 1980’s, imagine my delight then when I found another photo!

This time it must have been taken just after restoration by Jim Macdonald following a catastrophic fire in the late ’80’s.

It’s likely to be from the early ’90’s following major works by ‘Warwickshire Flyboat Co.’ at their Stockton/Long Itchington base. Eileen can be seen in fine fettle as a ‘working motor’ with a long covered hold. It was in this form that, I think, she was runner-up in the boat restoration category at the 1992 National Waterways Festival.
