To Dungeness by Steam Train…

It being the half term holiday my usual writing routine has been disrupted in favour of actually getting out and doing stuff with the kids. It’s essential to escape the city, if only for a few hours, it’s an effort to do it, the South Circular is a nightmare, but oh so worth it once the city’s left behind and I can feel its weight lifting from my shoulders.

Today, for example we spent a cracking’ day riding the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway (post to follow) and then, after a picnic in the pebbles, we spent a few hours beach combing at Dungeness (post to follow, though I’ve written about this hauntingly beautiful place before, HERE…).

This little film hints at a good day spent outdoors with the family – there’s nothing better…
