Trip to New Home Mooring – Day 1b.

Exploring Napton

After mooring Molly and I took advantage of the dry evening to explore:

The evening mooring at the end of the 14x day moorings below Napton Bottom Lock
On our late afternoon walk Molly gets introduced to her first lock - and rapidly becomes an expert?
Anyone familiar with the South Oxford will recognise this sign on the approach to the Flight. Graphic simplicity. Gorgeous lettering.
We had our evening meal in the dining room of The Folly Inn. Homely atmosphere, great room, fascinating clutter...
Says it all really...
Evening, looking towards the first lock.
Evening, looking back towards the first lock from the short pound between first and second lock, and towards Napton's iconic windmill.
All's well with the World!

(More tomorrow.)
