Light at the end of the Tunnel!?!

‘Light at the end of the tunnel!!!’ was the optimistic statement from Jon-the-Workshop last night. After another dark hole day chipping sprayed foam out of the confines of the water tank,  he’d finally cleared the last of it and then succeeded in getting a coat of paint on it too. He’s hoping to test the system later today. That, added to gas bottles being connected up and the gas cooker attached and working, meant that yesterday, Day 11 on our countdown to leaving Great Haywood, was a positive and productive day.

Down here in London I continued painting the tiller arm, and collecting images of boats that’ll hopefully help inform the character and look of our Eileen. Todays gallery shows a few more images of the wooden narrow boat Maria.

(More information about the Maria can be accessed HERE.)
