A Magical First Day

It’s a pretty breathless post today. We’ve spent the day on Eileen.

We travelled up to Great Haywood this morning and spent a magical few hours on her.

We took her out, just down to the junction and along to Tixall Wide – but it was enough – we’re in love with our boat!

I’ve not had chance to edit all the photos tonight, but here’s a taster of tomorrow’s post – ‘Our first voyage aboard our Eileen’

    Cheers Captain!

Wonderfully, the kids loved it every bit as much as Claire and I did. So, there’s looking forward to the Easter holidays and hopefully more time afloat.

    best wishes

ps. I’m thoroughly enjoying your recent ‘tub’ canal post – an amazing amount of research must go into every trip…
