It’s all down to the prep.

Within the bustle and onward rush of typical family life, I’m aiming, each day, to achieve just a small little boat-related step forward.

Today, with the huge ‘elum’ looming in the cellar, it’s all about preparation; about buying wood filler, primer and undercoat; about ensuring that the local boatyard has the colours we’ve decided to use in stock [they do…]… and it’s about looking for somewhere dry and light and on the level [that elum’s HUGELY heavy!] where I can really get to grips with this first small project in the boat’s renovation.

I can’t wait to get started!
